Here I am at 38 weeks pregnant or to be exact, 38 weeks 2 days, which means I have 1 week 5 days (or exactly 12 days!) until my December 31 due date! After almost 9 months of pregnancy you would think 12 days would seem like such a short amount of time so why does it feel like she is NEVER going to get here!? Maybe its the fact that I had wanted her to arrive a week ago or maybe its knowing that I could pass the next 12 days and actually meet January without a baby! Whatever it is, we are just TOO excited and time seems to have slown way down. The suspense is starting to really get to us and hope that every day is ‘the day.' Brian checks in on me every few hours asking if I’ve felt any contractions yet. To which I sadly answer, no, but who knows...maybe tomorrow is the day!!! :)

Our Lil' Peach
This blog is going to follow Brian and my journey into parenthood and the many adventures of baby Sophia. For years Brian has called me Peaches (exactly why he started calling me that has been lost in time) and he has started calling our little girl ‘lil peach.’ A nickname I just adore. So, here it is my blog about our lil’ peach!

I can't wait to meet your 'lil Peach!' Am I allowed to call her that, too? It's so sweet sounding. Oh, I also love your tree!! I'm anxiously waiting, too. :)
ReplyDeleteShe will come soon, and we all can't wait to meet her! I remember with Colton, I stopped answering the phone, because I was tired of having to tell people, no... no baby yet! I love the blog, and am excited to follow it!
ReplyDeleteKristin - of course you can call her lil Peach too! :) And thanks for the kind words about our tree. We wanted something up in case she came in time for Christmas but I didnt have the desire to spend a lot of time making it too pretty. lol. Easier to take it down that way!
ReplyDeleteShanon - at this point I dont mind people asking as its nice if people seem to care but I can see after a few more weeks how that may be tiring to answer (especially if I go overdue). I can tell you though that there are MANY other phrases people feel inclined to tell me that are really getting old!
We can't wait to meet her and to see if random adventures are hereditary. ;)
ReplyDeletePatiently waiting and I won't ask. I just expect a phone call :-)
ReplyDeleteI have the phone list already ready and in my overnight bag (and of course you all are on it!!) :)
